Rebuild Trust
In your body. In your decisions. In yourself.

Live With Confidence
Return to the life and people that matter most
Most people are told how to treat pericarditis.
Very few are shown how to recover from it.
Recovery isn't just about inflation settling down.
It's about understanding what's happening physically, emotionally and mentally, so that you can rebuild trust in yourself one step at a time.
That's why I created the Recovery Rebuild MethodTM —a framework designed to replace uncertainty with understanding, so you can rebuild trust in yourself and return to living life with confidence.

Every symptom raises another question.
You don't know what's normal anymore.

Things begin to make sense.
Recovery no longer feels random.

You stop fearing every setback.
You begin trusting yourself again.

You start living instead of waiting.
One step becomes another.

Pericarditis becomes part of your story.
It no longer controls it.
I know what it feels like to be told your tests are improving...
while wondering why you still don't feel like yourself.
I know what it's like to question every chest sensation. To worry that every setback means you're back at the beginning. To feel as though nobody can explain what's happening.
Because I've been there too.
There was a point in my own recovery where I felt completely lost.
The uncertainty became overwhelming. I couldn't see a way forward.
The turning point wasn't when every symptom disappeared.
It wasn't when I was told everything was normal.
It was when I stopped waiting for someone else to explain my recovery...
and started learning how to understand it myself.
One step at a time.

That journey eventually became the Recovery Rebuild MethodTM.
Not because I had all the answers.
But because I never wanted someone else to face recovery feeling as lost as I did.
Today, that same framework has become the foundation of everything inside Pericarditis Playbook.
Because recovery isn't just about healing your heart.
It's about rebuilding trust in yourself.

Over the past few years I've spoken to hundreds of people living with pericarditis
through Facebook, Reddit, emails and inside our community
No matter where they are in the world, the same questions come up again and again
If you're asking yourself any of these questions, you're not alone
1. Am I going to be okay?
The is by far the most common question. While every recovery is different, understanding what's happening and having a structured plan can replace fear with confidence.
2. My tests are normal... so why do I still feel unwell?
Recovery isn't always a straight line. Healing often continues long after the inflammation has settled, and that can cause symptoms even when tests look normal.
3. Every little pain makes me think it's come back. Is that normal?
Yes. Almost everyone describes becoming hyper-aware after pericarditis. Learning the difference between normal recovery, muscle soreness, anxiety and warning signs is life-changing.
4. How long does recovery actually take?
There's no single timeline. Some people recover in weeks, others take months or experience recurrences. The goal is learning how to measure your progress, not someone else's.
5. Can I exercise again?
Exercise is important, but so is returning at the right time and rebuilding gradually. Recovery isn't about avoiding activity forever - it's about rebuilding trust in your body, one step at a time.
6. Will I ever stop worrying about every heartbeat?
Yes. At first it's normal to constantly check your pulse and question every flutter. As understanding grows, that constant fear gradually begins to fade.
7. Why do I feel alone?
Because pericarditis is relatively uncommon, many people never meet someone else who's been through it. You're not alone - there's a whole community here who truly get it.
8. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand what I'm going through?
One of the hardest parts isn't always the pain. It's trying to explain an illness that often can't be seen. Being understood can be just as important as being treated.
9. What if it comes back?
Fear of recurrence is one of the biggest challenges. While nobody can promise it won't happen again, understanding the risk factors and having a plan brings peace of mind.
10. How do I know if I'm recovering or getting worse?
Knowing the key signs of progress (and red flags to watch for) helps your make sense of symptoms and trust the process.
